Hi,
I'm looking for a site that would offer free PHP + MySQL certification. I just need some kind of a proof that I can do a lot ..
I know that BrainBench has PHP test .. the problem is that I've got to pay for it .. and .. I live in a country that has problems with online payments .. :(
any input is appreciated!
Thanks!

I'm not aware of ANY certification that is available for free!
But hey, why not? Why don't we all get together, work with some of the developer sites, (codewalkers for example), and put together a certification? sounds like a lot of work, but it might be worth it! what does everyone think?
Does anyone have experience in this?

Right. It would be a long term project, but still a good idea, i think.

hey,
well, i guess the first step is to figure out who is willing to work on this, and will have tome to commit to it.
The second thing is to deterine if this is even reasonable. I mean, will anyone trust the certificate? How do you give your certification value to employers/clients. Why do people accept certain certifications as proof of knowledge and skill? How can we get credibility?

Hi, I'm would be happy to be a part of this project.
As to the credibility of the certificate, I'm not sure. But even a certificate without credibility is better than nothing and it's a good way for developers to see if there skills are on an adequate level. Hopefully it will also bring more people to the site.
